Rekha : At the “Ikkis” screening declares her love for Agastya Nanda
Rekha: At the screening of his next film “Ikkis,” veteran actress Rekha openly showed her love and respect for Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.

Rekha stood in silent adoration for a short while on the red carpet, folding her hands and bowing her head as she looked at a picture of the late actor Dharmendra. Then, as a benediction, she placed her palm lightly over Agastya’s picture and blew a flying kiss.
‘Ikkis’ is a war biopic directed by Sriram Raghavan that is based on the life of the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.
Rahul Dev, Sikander Kher, Suhasini Mulay, and Jaideep Ahlawat are also featured in the movie. On January 1, 2026, it will be made available.
Big B, who just saw the impending war film at an earlier screening, wrote an emotional post on his blog.
Amitabh Bachchan remarked, “Emotions flow,” revisiting some of the rare experiences from Agastya’s birth to seeing him on the big screen. The grandson’s success in IKKIS, his mother Shweta’s final labor pains, his birth, holding him a few hours later and talking about whether his eyes were blue, his growth, his final decision to become an actor, and seeing him in frame tonight, I can’t take my eyes off each time he fills the frames of the movie.”
Agastya’s portrayal of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal was praised by Big B, who said that he displayed “unfiltered honesty” in the role.
This is a seasoned moviegoer, not a grandpa, and when he is in the frame, all you can see is him. Additionally, the film’s presentation, script, and direction are all perfect. And when it’s over, the eyes well up with pride and happiness, and they can’t say anything except keep quiet. The stillness that is mine, my comprehension, and no one else’s,” he said.
