Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, as well as prominent party leaders and employees, will attend the event where departing State President Dilip Jaiswal will transfer duties to Saraogi.

“On December 18, at the BJP State Office, a grand event will be organized for the assumption of duties by the newly appointed State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bihar, Sanjay Saraogi,” the BJP’s Bihar branch posted on X on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Bihar In-charge Vinod Tawde evaluated the preparations for this.

At 12.30 p.m., Saraogi will officially take over as president of the Bihar BJP at the party’s state headquarters.

BJP Media In-Charge for Bihar Sanjay Saraogi will arrive in Patna on Thursday from Darbhanga, where lavish preparations have been planned to greet him, according to Danish Eqbal.

Ceremonial welcome gates have been built at several points across the city, and party flags, banners, and posters have been placed along the routes he will take to go to the State Office.

He said that Saraogi will present flowers to the life-size statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, which is close to the High Court, when he arrived in Patna. After that, he and the party employees would drive an open jeep in the direction of the BJP State Office.

Saraogi will also give flowers to the monument of Jayaprakash Narayan at the Income Tax Roundabout during the parade. After that, he would go directly to the State Office.

MLA Sanjay Saraogi was named the next Bihar BJP President by the BJP earlier on December 15. This appointment is seen as very important inside the party and has sparked new political debates in the state.

At a time when the party is undergoing significant internal reorganization, Saraogi, a well-known Vaishya leader and six-time Darbhanga Sadar MLA, has been given this important organizational duty.

Arun Singh, the BJP National General Secretary and head of headquarters, formally announced the appointment in a letter. According to the letter, Sanjay Saraogi has been named the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bihar, with immediate effect by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

The decision was made in the midst of many significant organizational reforms that the senior leadership of the BJP had started. The party shocked political watchers on December 14 when it named Bankipur MLA and Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin as the BJP’s National Working President.

The party has now given Sanjay Saraogi an equally important task in Bihar after Nitin Nabin’s promotion to the national level. He succeeds Dilip Jaiswal, who was the head of the Bihar BJP and is presently the government of Bihar’s Industries Minister.
