Chief Minister Mohan Yadav: Madhya Pradesh Becomes Naxal-Free, and the Chief Minister Honors Officers’ “Indomitable Courage, Sacrifices”
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav: According to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the state is now totally free of Naxal violence, and this will go down as a great chapter in the state’s history.

The declaration followed the surrender of Deepak Uike and Rohit, the last two Naxals in the Balaghat district, on Thursday in front of the chief minister virtually.
CM Yadav said the country is still safe under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and he attributed the success to their leadership.
Madhya Pradesh is now totally free of Naxal violence thanks to PM Modi’s unwavering determination and Union Minister Shah’s leadership to eradicate Naxalism from the nation by January 2026. The last “Lal Salaam” was spoken on December 11 at Balaghat due to the unwavering bravery and selflessness of police officers and staff. It will go down in Madhya Pradesh’s history as a glorious age,” Chief Minister Yadav said.
The chief minister observed that 42 Naxalites with a cumulative reward of Rs 7.75 crore turned themselves in within 42 days in the Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh (MMC) Zone.
He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh was totally Naxal-free after the last two Naxalites surrendered on December 11 thanks to the concerted efforts of the Central Armed Forces and the courageous members of the Madhya Pradesh Police.
In 2025, the Chief Minister emphasized, 10 Naxalites were neutralized and 13 surrendered, the most in the previous 21 years. All active Naxalite cadres in the state have been disbanded as a result of the last two Naxalites’ surrender today.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, IG (Balaghat range), told ANI that Balaghat is now free of Naxals as a result of these two’s surrender, which is very beneficial for the region. However, we will keep up our fight to keep this region free of naxals. Both of them received rewards of Rs 43 lakh, with Rohit receiving Rs 14 lakh and Deepak receiving Rs 29 lakh. Now, Madhya Pradesh is free of naxals.
Additionally, CM Yadav honored everyone who gave their life during the Naxal eradication effort. For this endeavor, 38 police officers and other troops sacrificed their lives. He honored and remembered the officers’ sacrifice.
The Chief Minister said that Naxalites who turn themselves in would get rehabilitation under the state’s Surrender Policy, which will provide them with a chance to start over in peace. The state government is dedicated to protecting them and providing all the services required by the policy to facilitate their reintegration into society.
In addition, Chief Minister Yadav praised the Central Armed Forces, the police, and the field-level administration for their efforts in eradicating the Naxals from Madhya Pradesh.
