UP Tourism: With hotels, the Ayodhya Museum, and heritage projects, the Tata Group will bolster the hospitality industry
UP Tourism: The growing number of domestic and international visitors has created a solid basis for significant investment in Uttar Pradesh’s tourism and hospitality industry. During their meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran made a proposal to significantly expand the group’s esteemed hotel chain in the state.

This expansion has been suggested in response to the state’s steadily rising visitor numbers, the notable rise in religious and cultural tourism, and the substantial increase of infrastructure and connections.
N Chandrasekaran told the Chief Minister at the meeting that the state is now building 30 hotels under the renowned brands of the Tata Group, including Taj, Vivanta, and Selections. These hotels would add 1,900 luxurious hotel rooms. The company is also thinking about building 30 additional hotels by 2026.
A’state-of-the-art’ flagship hotel for the company is also being planned in Noida, the chairman of Tata Sons revealed in conjunction with this massive development. Uttar Pradesh’s status as the fastest-growing hospitality market in India will be determined by this initiative.
The Tata Group is contributing significantly to the development of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and religious infrastructure in addition to the hotel growth.
Important Events Anticipated:
Ayodhya: In partnership with the Tata Group, special attention was paid to completing the first phase of the intended “Museum of Temple” project by January 2027. With its exhibits based on cutting-edge technology, this museum will become a distinctive destination for both Indian and foreign visitors.
Mathura-Vrindavan: The organization has also committed to funding the restoration of eight significant old kunds (holy ponds) in the Mathura-Vrindavan area: Mansi Ganga Kund, Shyam Kund, Radha Kund, Ashtakashi Kund, Nari Semri Kund, Garud Govind Kund, and Krishna Kund. Additionally, the state’s significant Ganga ghats will be cleaned and conserved as part of this partnership.
