Noida: Many people are hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on the Greater Expressway caused by dense fog

Noida:  After heavy fog made it difficult to see in the Delhi-NCR area, a serious collision involving over a dozen cars was reported on the Noida Expressway early on Saturday morning. numerous people were injured in the incident, which included numerous automobiles and trucks, according to authorities. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway, sometimes called the Kundli–Ghaziabad–Palwal (KGP) Expressway, is where the collision happened.

A vital route for interstate commerce, the 135-kilometer, six-lane corridor links portions of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Cars with significant damage
Several automobiles were severely damaged, according to photos taken at the scene. A truck was close by, and a white automobile with its front end smashed was put on the middle barrier. The intensity of the crash was highlighted by the fact that another automobile was stuck under a large truck.

Police teams arrived at the scene shortly after the mishap, according to the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate. According to authorities, an inquiry has been started to ascertain the precise reason of the collision, and traffic control measures have been implemented.

On Saturday, residents of Delhi-NCR woke up to heavy fog and haze, making it difficult to see on roads and highways. The disaster, which also resulted in protracted traffic jams on the road, is said to have been mostly caused by the weather.
