Tirumala: TTD prepares by providing devotees with improved amenities
Tirumala: B R Naidu, chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), said on Monday that comprehensive plans had been made for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam, taking past experiences into consideration. He said that the Lord Venkateswara temple would host Vaikunta Dwara Darshanams from December 30 to January 8.

After touring the Pilgrims Amenities Complex 2 with board members Santaram and Naresh Kumar, the TTD chairman announced at a media briefing in Tirumala that tokens will be distributed via an electronic lucky dip mechanism for the first three days.
To provide broader access for the general public, devotees will be permitted to enter Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam via Sarva Darshan for the next seven days, even without tokens.
He said that in order to prevent any hardship to pilgrims, particular attention was being paid to bolstering essential infrastructure. In order to efficiently manage crowd movement, arrangements and amenities at high-density pilgrim places will be continuously monitored.
He said that PACs (Pilgrim Amenities Complexes) will be refurbished with cutting-edge amenities with the help of donor Mantena Ramalinga Raju, who recently gave Rs 9 crore to these efforts.
According to him, devotees expressed great delight with PAC2’s amenities.
The TTD chairman said that the temple body intended to grow its own 100 acres of heavenly trees for use in the dwajasthambhams, or temple flagstaffs. The Palamaneru Goshala grounds have been determined by the TTD to be an appropriate site for the care of these trees.
Naidu said that there will be a TTD Board meeting on Tuesday, with over fifty agenda items to be considered. Following discussions at the board meeting, a decision about the divine trees project would be made and made public.
