Delhi-Noida Airport Namo Bharat RRTS: Check the route and stations of the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, which will connect Delhi and Noida Airport. NCRTC will prepare the DPR

Delhi-Noida Airport Namo Bharat RRTS: A detailed project report (DPR) for a new projected Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (RRTS) line linking the airports in Delhi and Noida would be prepared by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).

The route from Surajpur to Noida Phase 2 via City Center to Sarai Kale Khan RRTS station will be examined under the planned new route. It will link up with the RRTS line that was earlier suggested, which runs from Surajpur to Noida International Airport.

The decision was made after a meeting between Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs officials and OSD Urban Transport.

Rejecting the old DPR
The DPR, which the Yamuna Authority (YEIDA) developed from NCRTC, received the state government’s in-principle approval last year. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs received the DPR.

The ministry has requested explanations and voiced concerns on eleven topics. The most important of them was that Delhi and the IGI Noida airport are not immediately connected by the suggested route from the RRTS’s Siddharth Vihar station in Ghaziabad.

Plans for Char Murti in Greater Noida West, the projected Aqua Metro from Noida Sector 51 to Knowledge Park 5 in Greater Noida West, and other items were among the topics. Additionally, it recommended that the Aqua Metro line be constructed independently as opposed to being included into the RRTS.

The NCRTC suggests a new route.
ACEO Shailendra Bhatia of YEIDA and Noida International Airport Ltd. participated remotely in the meeting on Wednesday along with representatives from the Ministry, NMRC, and NCRTC.

In addition to the previously planned alignment of Ghaziabad-Greater Noida West, Greater Noida East, Ecotech-YEIDA region, and Noida Airport, the NCRTC suggested a new route from Surajpur to Sarai Kale Khan via Noida SEZ, City Center during the conference. Surajpur is where Noida and Greater Noida West will meet. It was resolved during the meeting to produce a DPR and analyze the new route.

Details of the Old Corridor plan
The distance from Ghaziabad to Greater Noida West via Noida Airport is 72.44 km. There were two stages to the previously planned NCRTC. The first section begins in Ghaziabad’s Siddharth Vihar and travels to Ecotech 6 via Greater Noida’s Pari Chowk, Knowledge Park 5, Surajpur, Jagat Farm, and Char Murti roundabout. The second section travels across YEIDA’s Sectors 17, 18, and 21 from Ecotech 6 to Noida Airport.

On this route, 11 RRTS and 11 Metro stations were suggested. The project was expected to cost Rs 20637 crore in total.

Millions of Noida inhabitants were denied RRTS connection since the previously suggested RRTS route did not pass through the city.

A new path is suggested.
Noida will be connected to the RRTS via the new route, and the Noida Authority will pay a portion of the project’s expenses.

The Greater Noida West line may be canceled if a route from Sarai Kale Khan to Noida and Surajpur is decided upon to link Noida International Airport to Delhi and IGI. The high project cost and the absence of a direct route to Delhi are the causes of this.

RRTS to Greater Noida from Gurugram
Additionally, an RRTS route between Gurugram and Greater Noida is suggested. It will be around 65 km long and run from Gurugram’s IFFCO Chowk to Greater Noida via Faridabad and Noida. It will join the Ghaziabad-Greater Noida-Noida Airport line at Surajpur, Greater Noida.

“The NCRTC will study and submit a report,” Yamuna Authority ACEO Shailendra Bhatia said in reference to the development. For the route from Ghaziabad to Greater Noida West via Surajpur, a DPR was already created. A new route is being investigated because of its lack of direct access to Delhi.
