Tej Pratap: After Rabri Devi and are ordered to leave their official houses, a commotion breaks out in Bihar
Tej Pratap: Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her son, JJD chief Tej Pratap Yadav, were ordered to leave their official residences, sparking a major political controversy in Bihar. The opposition has harshly criticized the move, while the NDA-led government maintains that the decision was made strictly “as per the rules.”

The Nitish Kumar-led administration has summoned Rabri Devi to evacuate her long-occupied property at 10 Circular Road, where she has stayed for over two decades.
She has now been given House No. 39 on Harding Road. Additionally, Tej Pratap Yadav has been told to leave his residence at 26 M Strand Road, which has been given to Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, the SC/ST Welfare Minister.
Speaking to reporters, Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “This job is being done by the department that is in charge of it. Changes are made in accordance with the same process whenever a new administration takes office.
In addition, Minister Nitin Nabin said that the reallocation is a standard “government procedure” and that MLAs are given accommodations based on the group to which they belong. There isn’t anything wrong here that needs my attention.”
Dilip Jaiswal, the minister and head of the state BJP, reaffirmed that the administration was adhering to accepted standards.
“Why are politicians so wedded to government homes yet officers leave their bungalows as soon as they retire? He told IANS, “They ought to accept the arrangements that the government has made for them.”
After Lalu Prasad Yadav resigned owing to an arrest warrant in the fodder scandal, Rabri Devi, Bihar’s first female chief minister, served from 1997 to 2005. Since 2018, she has been the Legislative Council’s leader of opposition. After losing the Mahua Assembly seat, Tej Pratap Yadav is presently unemployed.
According to JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan, the reallocation complies with accepted standards.
“This is a recommended process. Residences are sometimes assigned based on rank by the Central Government. Rabri Devi has been given permission to move into a new home in her place. Tej Pratap would have to leave the lodging since he is not a member of any House,” he told IANS.
Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad, however, said that the Nitish Kumar administration singled out opposition leaders.
Does the present administration respect and value the dignity of all opposition leaders? Anything is possible when you are motivated by a desire for vengeance. Rahul Gandhi’s membership was canceled and his mansion was abandoned in this nation, but everything was restored with the help of the populace. Does something similar occur when the BJP is in power? Ahmad remarked.
