Bihar Crime: A teacher’s home in Simultala is raided by thieves wearing police uniforms, stealing jewelry valued at Rs 25 lakh
Bihar Crime: On Monday morning at around 6:30 am, six people wearing police uniforms invaded the residence of Sanjeev Gupta, also known as Bauwa, a teacher who lived in Telwa Bazar near the Simultala police station. Jewelry valued at thousands of rupees that was kept in an almirah was taken by the invaders. All of the suspects left the site after the event.

According to the victim’s relatives, the offenders were armed with batons and guns and pretended to be Chakai police station employees. Sanjeev Gupta said that the criminals showed up there in a Scorpio car. He was opening the door to drop his youngster off at school when the event happened. Claiming to be police officers with a search warrant, the armed invaders pushed their way inside and threatened the family.
The thieves entered, took the almirah’s keys, unlocked it, and took jewelry valued between Rs 20 and Rs 25 lakhs that belonged to Gupta’s mother, sister, wife, and daughter. They instructed the family to report to the Chakai police station before departing, a move meant to perplex the family and avoid any quick opposition.
When the victim called the Chakai police after the event, they explained that no raids had taken place in the previous two days. This proved that the thieves had carried out the heist while posing as law enforcement. At the time of reporting, the official written complaint filing procedure was in progress.
Locals claim that the victim is now working in the Banka region as a government teacher and is also engaged in the money-lending industry. The whole town is in a tizzy over the daylight heist committed by individuals wearing police uniforms. According to Dhananjay Kumar, the Simultala Station House Officer (SHO), the crime was done by abusing police clothes. Police are searching local CCTV video for hints about the suspects as part of a comprehensive investigation.
