Nominations – Three nominees backed by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) officially entered the race for the Rajya Sabha on Monday by filing their nomination papers at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly complex. The filing process took place in the presence of senior coalition leaders, legislators, and party representatives, marking an important step ahead of the upcoming Upper House elections.

Nomination Process Conducted at Assembly Premises
The candidates—Sana Satish Babu, Bashyam Rama Krishna, and Chintakayala Vijay—submitted their nomination documents before Returning Officer R. Vanitha Rani. Several elected representatives from the ruling coalition accompanied the nominees during the process and endorsed their candidatures as proposers.
The nomination exercise proceeded smoothly at the Assembly premises, with party leaders expressing confidence in the candidates chosen to represent the state at the national level.
Sana Satish Babu Files Two Sets of Papers
Sana Satish Babu completed the nomination formalities by submitting two separate sets of papers. His candidature received support from a group of legislators who signed as proposers.
Among those endorsing his nomination were Chief Whip and MLA G.V. Anjaneyulu, along with MLAs Kanna Lakshminarayana, Pantham Venkateswara Rao, popularly known as Nanaji, and Tangirala Soumya. Their signatures fulfilled the procedural requirements necessary for the nomination process.
Bashyam Rama Krishna Receives Support from Senior Leaders
Bashyam Rama Krishna also filed two sets of nomination papers as part of the Rajya Sabha election procedure. His nomination was backed by several prominent members of the coalition.
Minister K. Atchannaidu signed as one of the proposers, while MLAs B. Ramanjaneyulu, Kolisetti Srinivas, and Sriram Tataiah also extended their support by endorsing the nomination documents. The presence of senior political figures highlighted the party’s unified approach during the filing process.
Chintakayala Vijay Completes Formalities
Chintakayala Vijay, the third nominee put forward by the Telugu Desam Party, likewise submitted two sets of nomination papers. Party leaders and legislators remained present throughout the proceedings as the final candidate completed the required documentation.
With the submission of nomination papers by all three candidates, the party has formally initiated its participation in the Rajya Sabha election process. The nominations reflect the coalition’s preparations for securing representation in the Upper House of Parliament.
